From now on, you must call me...

Atsuko Tanaka...

Watashi no Atsuko Tanaka desu.

So, I decided that my new Japanese name would be Atsuko Tanaka.

Then, I decided to google myself.
(Sorry for you grammar purists for changing a noun into a verb).

and, here's Atsuko Tanaka how cool!

Let's just settle it now, things get nasty otherwise.

Yesterday S gave me a gift,
my love of Jeffrey Brown comics and cats.
Yay, it's not even my birthday.

 Need more kitty?
Cute boys with cats.

Vege samosas are quite messy to eat.

I just said to S that I wished
my vege samosa triangle had more corners.

The title is a quote from Jill in Nighty Night.
That woman gives me nightmares.

Kitty paddle.

Will try to attempt to film my cat in the bath,
on the next sunny day.

It'll be a horror film!

How can I not go to work drinks.

Got invited to work drinks,
but am a bit broke,
bit sullen,
besides,
I need to get fabric to dye for school
and I'm working at donuts all weekend.

Told the girls,
who discussed my declination..
(I hope declination, is a word because I've used it a lot this year).

k: "ugh!  do you know Jett is abandoning us in favour of lincraft?  how lame!"

h: "actually i support her in that endeavour."

k: "over hanging out with us?!"

h: "well she's dyeing."

k: "she is NOT.  she's just over-reacting.  she was supposedly dying this morning and she's totally fine."

h: "no seriously, she's dyeing.  she needs to go get the dyes today."

k [pause, looks confused]: "...what?  oh you mean DYE-ing.  oh.  well, that's still not a good enough excuse."

P.S. am totally dying.

Suntory Club House.

I have a new blog now,
this one (hellojett) will of course remain as
boring as ever,
but my second one will be
with H (or Mary-Jane)
and will be our secret club house blog.

Suntory Club House is our shared blog to share our creative endeavours,
and our love of Bill Murray.
It's actually called Super Happy Suntory Club House.

We're going to meet at different places,
and blog our progress in creativenesses.
What jolly fun.

Find it here: Suntory Club House

Reclaim the pine.

How to make a table,
when you're low on cash,
don't have a car
or a drill.

Seriously I'm just as excited by it
set up in my living room ready to use
as the day I found it.
I think because I feel like I made it.
It's my first bit of reclaimed furniture,
albeit with Ikea legs.
I should so be on Scrap Yard Make Over.

A and I quite often visit the hard rubbish site at work,
there's often wonderful things but we always need a trailer.
But when one finds a quality piece of pine,
one carries it to one's office to worry about transportation later.
It's complete with support boarder underneath.

Got E from work to drive it home for me :)

Buy table legs at $5 each from Ikea.
Tip #1 Don't screw in screws and hammer in when they don't work.

Needed D from work to bring over her drill :)

Voila! A new sewing table.
Sanded down and everything.

Tidy living room ready for my mum's visit.

I'm so pleased with my tidying up efforts,
I can use the living room again.

The door at the back leads into the hairdressing salon.
I hate those bitches.

The owner of my flat yelled out to me,
when I was moving my desk from the spare room,
I seriously just stared at her,
how the fuck does she think that she can come
into my house (even to the doorstep)
when she hasn't given me 24 hours notice,
she was getting foils in her hair,
and kind of smirked at me when she said
"You don't mind me having a cigarette outside do you?"
Fuck you and your rudeness.

Gotta go, kitty is attacking the stick insects!

Daily Bunny day three.

Don't worry, the bun stops here.

Green bunny cosy.

Don't worry there'll be no more bunnies,
I don't really like them,
they all look mean.

Went to Spotlight last night,
and bought a range of arty goodness.
An embroidery hoop, felt, aida cross stitch fabric,
wool and knitting loop needles.
The lady in the shop said that I must have
a wide range of crafting talents.
Wouldn't say talents,
ambitions perhaps.
Some things work,
others don't. Meh,

Fabric from Ink and Spindle.
They're on the wall in my arty room,
ready for mummy to enjoy when she visits next week.
Simple and pretty.
My kind of craft.

Daily Bunny day two

S wanted an albino rabbit with red eyes.

Daily bunny.

S, with a bunny on her lap.
A little too small for S's head.
It doesn't really look this evil!

So, S is going to have to start eating boiled eggs,
now that I've made her a bunny egg cosy.

Made at work.

I'm supposed to be wrapping up my work
due to going on holidays,
but stuffing around instead.

If only I could use my time for good,
instead of evil
bunnies.

Textiles class is totally F'n A.

Raffia basket

Raffia is an ugly material anyhow
Basketry installation, tied between the window frame

Ribbon basket, complète avec une faute d'orthographe

bonjor.

Hear the correct pronunciation here.
Bottom of weaved basket
Home made paper and wool installation - with weaving

Weaving sculpture
don't ask what it is.

I grew these.  Pretty huh?

Chewin' out a rhythm on my bubble gum

Man, when you've got a Ramones song in your head
and you try to find it,
by clicking through each song...

Out of 99 Ramones songs in my collection,
12 start with One, Two, Three, four!
3 start with Go!
76 are under 3 minutes.
and
99 make you forget what you're looking for.

Anyway I found it.

One, Two, Three, Four!
Chewin' out a rhythm on my bubble gum.

Rockaway Beach.

Man I wanna live there.
