Even greater when they're a tiny bit lonely too.

My concerntration levels are a little bit
on the poor side tonight.
I just watched a my first lecture.
There was a little bit about child experiments...
the evil kind.

They asked kids to click this clicker thing,
whilst putting together a sentence made up from 2 words.
The girl had "Seaweed" and "Fish".
She clicked away whilst thinking and came up with
"The fish thought the seaweed was another fish".

The boy's words were "Athlete" and "Toothbrush".
He clicked away, stopping to think, click, stop, click, stop.
ticking away...
"um-The athlete brushed with the toothbrush -oh".

Not quite so clever, and stopped clicking to think.

This only proves that girls can not only
think and do things at the same time,
but they are smarter.
hee. hee.
Luckily no one reads this,
or really cares that much to get mad at me for being
so sexist.

The facts were there!

Perhaps its why M needs a few months of
not clicking, so his mind can tick.

Anyway it had no solutions to the lack of concerntration,
I seem to be having on reading text books tonight.

I thought I'd put up these pics,
this way I can email the people in the pictures
and tell them they're here.
This was my leaving party at work.
I miss my old university,
my new one lacks a little substance.

I also liked a bit I read about another
evil child experiment...
Reading to your child in the womb.
If you read aloud to your child certain books,
or genres after they are born they are more likely to be
content to hear those stories again,
rather then stories they'd never heard before.

Perhaps playing classical music, reading sonnets
and the oxford english dictionary aloud might
make them a genius, or really annoying,
best read them satire too.

How great are
smart and funny
people.

Even greater when they're a tiny bit lonely too.

I wonder if my mother ever read aloud to me?

No hot water again.

There's something strange about this flat.
My telly keeps changing channels by itself,
so much so that I don't even turn it on anymore.
My hot water switch also keeps turning itself off.
I did the dishes and realised that the sink full of water,
was cold.

There's supposed to be a lunar eclipse tonight,
I went outside before to locate the moon and a spot.
I'll go out again a little closer to the action time.

My sister is in trouble,
crazy trouble.
Will she listen to any of us?
(No).
She's living with someone who
quite obviously makes her frustrated.
Do I have to tell her that I love her?
That she's worth more?
That she could do better,
be better,
and have more?
Whilst actually having less.
I could knock some sense into her.
But she shouldn't beat herself up about it.
Its just insane.
Do we intervene?
Do we force the situation.
Push her into reality?

I should be the only one who
doesn't like asking for help.
Being the independent middle child I am.

Right, its getting late.
I have loads to do tonight.
I have to work out this studying lark.
I also have to watch the eclipse.

For some reason I felt that I needed to
pay more attention to my finances.
I'm setting up internet banking with my
UK bank account that I opened when I was 11
with 10 pounds.
A week later I deposited another 10 pounds.
A week later I withdrew 19 pounds.
A week later I deposited 2 pounds.
Forward 16 years;
via paypal,
I deposit 2 pounds.

One day with all my little bits of money
they'll add up to something significant.
I was once told that if you keep money in lots
of different places that you'd be rich.

Ok I have to get tonight sorted.

*or even himself stay here.

I called my mother yesterday,
she asked if I'd heard from my sister,
nope, no birthday message...

I'd sent her a message saying:
"Hey where's my birthday wish Lewis?"

My sister called.
She's been in hospital on the base
since Thursday,
suffering flu and exhaustion.

Next week she gets her weapons.
They need to be cleaned 4 times a day.
Last week she didn't make her bed properly,
the corporeals put it on-top of the lockers,
whist she was out.

I'm taking care of her banking whilst she's away,
I'm really good at looking after other people's money,
perhaps I should become an investor advisor.

M has left, I love that boy to no end.
But now I must get on with stuff,
so much to update, look at, apply for,
read and study and make.

He left his shirt, that still smells like him.
I was hoping he'd forget something*.

I have to make a move.
Lots to do.
Love is what I feel today.

Ask me, ask me, ask me.

27th Birthday.
I wonder what this means:
"I want to
go into my bedroom,
close the door and be alone",
in response to,
so would you like to be with me?

You know what I'd like?
Something real.

I've turned into a nagging prat,
apparently.
Ask, ask, ask.
If you ask one more time,
you'll get nothing.
So then, I'll keep quiet.
I'll never ask again...

Dinner tonight is Paella.
Its seafood.
Not one of my favourites,
but as long as there's sangria,
in a carafe,
where I can't count my drinks,
I'll be happy.

Australia Says No.

Violence Against Women,
Australia Says No.
On Friday night
I had a very heavy boxed-atlas
thrown into my lap for sitting
in the wrong seat,
on a 3-seater couch,
by my best friend.
It hurt.
I'm a tiny bit fragile.

I get the keys to my flat today.
I have an awful feeling something
will go wrong and they'll say that they've
given the keys to someone else...
(Even though I've paid).
By 2pm today I'll either be very happy,
or looking for a backpackers.

Tonight I have to collect the ute and
hopefully be able to move all my stuff
with the help of my friends, in one night.
I can't wait to play house again.
And to live alone.

I don't know what the share-house etiquette is,
if I want to read, is it rude to close my bedroom door?
If I want to watch telly, am I invading their space?
Do I have to hurry in the bathroom?

I must be getting on their nerves,
who throws an atlas at someone,
who's been told countless times that
they can stay as long as they like.

I have to book a taxi now.

Bless you

*Sneeze*
Bless you
- Fuck you.

Quit it.

Apparently they're changing the office
around, desks which have corner partitions
will face the other way, four people will essentially
be sitting within the squared partition.

How the hell can I sneak-eat chocolate?
I hate sharing with people I don't like.

I woke up in a terrible mood.
Last night at 7:30 pm
I decided I didn't want to be awake any more.
I took two sleeping tablets,
read until 8 pm
then fell fast asleep until 2:30 am.
Check phone,
no message.
Start to wonder if no one loves me.
Fall back asleep,
wake at 7am in a mood.

I felt ok until I just remembered then.

The CD I want isn't on ebay.
I'll have to buy it the old fashioned way.
I tried the other day,
but the queue was about 25 people long.

Unless you have a lot of herbs, seeds or
childrens school uniforms;
no one needs a label maker at home.
So stop trying to palm them off to us as
prizes for crossword puzzles.
We just want the cash.

I have done all my work today.
I have also noted that a lady who
used to be my supervisor about 6 years ago
is now working at my uni in Brisbane.
This is a good thing
and means that I can get my long service transferred.
I just need to get a job.

Love and War.

Oohh exciting secret news,
this lady called me into her office
and asked about my previous work history,
asked about my Long Service Leave,
then she said that she might have permanent work
and could I give her my CV,
and she'd see what she could do.
and not to tell anyone.

This is not anyone.
This isn't even real.

This week has flown by.

I signed up for 2 external subjects.
Introduction to English &
Child Development: A time to grow.

The Intro to English has a topic called
Love and War.
Oh yeah.

And that's me done for the day.
Bye

Do I get paid yet?

You really amaze me how fast your world turns.
-Its because I'm so hard on myself.
Yes you're all extremes and absolutes,
it seems stressful, but you get results.

I should put this conversation on my resume.

On the ninth day I got a job
(same shit, different university).
On the fifteenth day I got a flat
(smaller and more expensive than my last).

Tonight I'm going to my first gig here in Melbourne.
Arctic Monkeys.
This weekend I'm buying some ikea furniture.
I got a bit turned on looking at the catalogue last night.
On Tuesday I might go to Youtube Tuesday at Loop.
Depends if I can sneak in and not look like a loser on my own.
Hey I'm new here... 3 weeks is still new.
Like I said I can go out on my own for up to 2 months.

The boy I sit next to is a bit strange.
I think he's a little shocked that
a. we both like scooters
b. we both like soccer
c. we both watch Top Gear.

The conversation today:
"Have you ever seen that show
called Top Gear?, oh no you probably
wouldn't have heard of it".
-Yes I watched it last night,
blowing up that caravan seemed so fake".
(I actually told M to phone me after it finished)...
"Oh wow, I didn't think you'd be into cars".
-You don't have to be into cars to watch it.

M has booked a week off work to visit me.
It seems serious.

I am supposed to be reviewing procedures..
The procedures for this university are second to none,
they ooze effectiveness and style in a layout that's pleasing to the eye.
They are functional and show various instructional images.
I am impressed, I highly recommend them.
See for yourself.

Is that all I need to do?

Occasionally I turn a page
so as to look busy.

Do I get paid yet?
