Don't ask. Don't tell.

Don't tell should come first,
me and my big mouth.

My first auction.  There's M with his Real Living magazine in the bag.
M and I went to the house auction,
for the house we looked at last week,
just to see what an auction was like.
Started off fairly slow at $270,000.
But it was like people
weren't interested in bidding until
it got ridiculous.
It went for $346,000,
expensive for a bachelor pad.
I'm so out of the loop.

Some cooking show, a prize home and a letter from Stitchy Britt.
Getting a letter from B
really makes my day.
She'll be here soon!
Melbourne-Au-Go-Go!
Am going to charge my camera,
and take lots of silly pictures.

What difference does it make?

But now you know the truth about me
You won't see me anymore
Well, I'm still fond of you, oh-ho-oh

Yeah so there is not boy.

So I've decided to download
seasons 1-3 of
Secret diary of a call girl.

Going to live out my sex life through Billie Piper.

It is rather exciting.

If hunger does this to cattle...

So PO Box renewal,
100% Greenpower for Electricity and Gas,
Flybuys points - what's the point?
and what I thought was a reminder that I had a sponsor daughter,
but it was a reminder that many people don't have sponsor kids.

Yes there are many children starving in the world,
but would you look at the cattle in the picture.
Frankly humans need to take responsibility for
themselves, and by humans, I mean their governments.

Animal cruelty is the number one thing
that I hate in this world, it pains me to see a starving cow
more than a starving kid.

Nevertheless Plan are a wonderful non religious charity.
I think it's $45 a month, I don't miss it out of my pay...
Sign up here Plan.
Although in one of those RSAnimate talks
it was mentioned that charity degrades and demoralises,
however its the best option we have, aside from overthrowing
corruption, which let's face it,
Slipknot despite their silly masks,
sum it up nicely,
People = Shit.
Governments know this.
Money = Money = Power = some suffering.

Another thing I learned recently,
WTF?
Good grief,
that's almost like saying Western Australia
is family!
They're so far away,
but so fucking obvious.
Kia ora New Zealand Nau mai!

(I don't know what language Western Australia speak.
Do they have apples too?).

If you're for the cows,
sign up here Animals Australia.
I donate $10 a month.

I didn't mean for this post to be about
signing up for charities,
I just want to weep for those poor cows.
Lets have a closer look.

The one on the right wants its mummy.

Chasing pavements

I have the craving for foreign cities,
wandering lost,
lonely,
drinking coffee,
in cold and cosy cafes,
never needing to be anywhere,
never talking to anyone,
never allowing anyone in.

I'm throwing away more things.
Things I thought meant something,
bought or given when people meant something.
But they don't.

I'm chasing pavements,
and I want to get away from here.
Again.

Did I mention...

that I love my job?

(Although I probably would have fixed up that spelling error.)

watashi wa kaze desu - I have a cold.

Platinum edged debt, sounds tempting.  Egypt now want lower food prices to match salaries.

It's the Japanese onomatopoeic sound when you touch something that's soft and jiggly.
(Thanks Yahoo Answers)

New bike gloves, my boss tried them on and thought they were cool.
And an application for a 10 year license.
Expiry 2021.
I'll be 41.
ouch.

It's about a shrink.

egg sake bistro care for you.

Vegetable curry and free sweet potato to try.
I <3 Egg Sake bistro.
I went in feeling like death
and came out feeling like a princess.
They look after me so well.
If I could marry a country
it'd be Japan.

Love in a moderate climate

Have moved in and half unpacked.
Aside from the grotty carpet,
yucky kitchen cupboards,
and disease laden venetians,
I have made a house into a home
for the next 12 months.
Then I might go to Iceland.
To knit
And listen to music (thanks Dollface)
Yes I want!!!!

Not sure if it's just me,
but date night went rather quick
last night.
Guess I thought new romances
were all about getting sick of the sight
of each other, passion, lustyness.

Though
possibly one shouldn't make the other sick
first.

[Do not] Disturbicle

Yes!
Yes yes yes oh god yes!

10 minute power nap yesterday
under my desk.

Today 20 minutes.
I even brought a pillow in.

I already feel a little bit powerful.

Q & A with hellojett on work - life balance.

Via: http://coryatlarge.tumblr.com/post/1983688727
1. "What are my chances of having Friday off?"
we both laugh. Yes

2. "Can I get the keys to my flat on Friday instead of Saturday?"
i don't know, can you? Yes

3. "Will I get my bond money back, if yes how much, if no, that's fine too?"
i don't know, i'll pass on your message - after i stick it up my arse. Yes

4. "Can I please organise a removalist for Friday?"
see answers to questions 1-3. Yes

5. "Can I please have a less stressful life?"
no.

Just thought I'd update my list...

This is happiness... or It's always sunny in St Kilda

This is happiness...
I believe they're called Prof-a-frittas.
Who knows how to pronounce it,
that's not the point is it?

St Kilda Festival yesterday was fun,
met up with Breezy and Lukey and
some of her friends,
including Libby who works 2 buildings
away from me on campus, nice.

Walked around for a bit
ate curly potatoes on sticks,
watched the end of the BMXs
and then the trail bikes.

Ooooohhhhh
Aaaaahhhhh
Wooooooo

"That one's called a Hands Free folks"
-You can buy one of those at Nokia for $50.

Breezy is cute.

Then we went on the Scorpion.
And held on extra tight when it clanged.
Then after so much excitement,
home to B&Ls for a rest,
and to get mini Calipos
but we got free frosty fruits instead.

So back to the festival for Beach Volley Ball championships,
where it was Germany Vs France,
unfortunately 20 seconds into the game
a German sliced his foot open on glass
and had to forefeit.
Typical.
(Typical St Kilda beach, not Germans forfeiting).

So the MC filling in the gap,
finds some French tourists in the crowd
decided to ask them in his best English;

"What brings you to Australia?"
-What did we bring to Australia?
"I don't want to know what you brought,
why are you here?"
-To learn better English.

If only they understood the power of that sentence.

In any case, the crowd had gathered
and the French being friendly (weird),
offered for a 4/4 with audience members,
Libby went up and played,
and the MC loved her!
"She can actually play!"
"Go Libby."
Word.

Ate more food
and then went home
a bit sun burnt
and a lot tired.

Outstaying welcomes

M has thrown the cat's bowl
Into the garden in a temper.

Meanwhile next Saturday,
Move-day.. Isn't coming around quick enough.

So more throwing things out today,
Am in a bad mood now,
Which doesn't account for much,
Just keeping to myself.
Put my filing cabinet onto the street
With a For Free sign.

Going to test that theory.

Gah, what ever happened to lazy weekends?!

Had brunch with M,
At The social roasting Co.
Then went to have a look at the house
he wants to maybe buy.
Cute very bachelor pad,
complete with mezzanine bedroom.

Ok can't see what I'm typinanymore.
Stupid iPod.

The filing cabinet has been taken.

Going to sleep away my sickness...

Just realised that I seem to be writing more lately,
So I might stop for a bit, maybe I should
Consolidate my post posts too.
Man I'm so tired wish I hadn't had 4 coffees today.
Bedroom.

Cassie.

Now I'm not going to get any work done.
I just want to put her in my pocket,
what a doll.

Who says romance is dead?

(Title is what it says on the mug).

Am not very good at receiving presents,
however last night EP brought me an event bag
from a work gig,
full of surprisingly useful things.
And not junk :)
Sorry, I did like it,
and there's a picture of a shark in one of the books
that I'm going to frame
and put beside my bed - maybe.

So, there was a mug with some lady that I recognise,
from a show I don't...
I was looking at it this morning and there's this warning label...
I can't not find out what a Mystery Mug is
can I?
And look, it's Superhands!
So I'm going to pretend that it's my Peep Show mug.

I absolutely must not let myself
get into the trap of worrying about
what I've said.
I can feel myself slipping into
Jett, you are such a prat mode,
but hey.
All said and done.
Is all said and done.

And if he's happy to be with me,
then good,
he's come along at an awesome time in my life,
and just made it awesomer.

(Spelling? phah haha ha).

I have some truely lovely friends.
I love hanging out with them.

Meanwhile, back at the worksite,
A who doesn't like that I went on a date,
is back to stomping around,
and widely ignoring me,
to the point of hilarity.
He was once my best work friend.
Now he's just hard work.
I'm too old for this shite.

Health kick points for yesterday,
2.
Ate food and walked for a bit.
Am going to also add points
for not smoking so much.
Maybe I should only smoke in winter.

Ok gotta crack on,
have a mega work load
to get through today.

Concentration levels of late
have gone completely out the window.
Wish I was in London to go to some of these events
School of Life.

I just showed S and K my new mug
pre-hot-drink,
just you wait, something magic happens....
"OOhhh does she get naked?"

Damn.

Factory farming

Regarding Factory Farming dairy cows.

I think this campaign could go better
if we advocated for a label on the milk carton
"Factory Farmed"
like they do on egg cartons,
then at least people can make a conscious decision
about choosing not to purchase factory/battery farmed
products.

Support it here.

I'm going to miss my subscription to the Guardian weekly. :(

Yes and.

Improv class last night was fun,
again.

I arrived feeling a bit tired and not into it,
but it soon picks you up,
and you're being silly
and doing fun things.

We played a game called Yes and,
and R the teacher said that some pillock company
had copy written the game.
(It's like copy writing hop scotch).

It is jolly fun,
you keep the story going
by responding to the offer from your partner,
and then return an offer to them,
that hopefully they pick up on.

Experimenting with my spontaneity,
is great, I feel confident and I feel
confused at the same time.
although we swap partners every 5 minutes,
which can be good and bad, depending on who you get.

Some of the people focus on their shyness,
which is really hard,
when you're being an astronaut
and your partner isn't giving you anything,
you're running the show
and it makes you feel like a hogger,
which is a big no-no in improv.
Seriously though,
we are not allowed to be shy,
we have to leave shyness at the door.

And you look more embarrassing
and shy if you can't hold the game.
And I think I remember something that
I might have written here before,
which is a quote on shyness,
it wasn't this, but this is good too.

"Shyness has a strange element of narcissism,
a belief that how we look,
how we perform,
is truly important to other people"
Andre Dubus

In this case, yes we do think that it's important,
shyness in your partner will make your part harder,
you have to learn to bring your partner out of the
grip and show them how to have fun with the scene.

It is really really hard and I hope that I will learn
how to overcome the blocking, shyness from some of
the people in the class.
It'll make me a better person too.
I am rather shy in my own life,
but it's generally in new situations.
As soon as I get to know you,
I'll annoy the crap out of you.

I wont tell you about the other game we played,
it's called "Passing the clap".

Of course, I think I'm good at it,
I just let go I think.
but R the teacher said that at the end of the 9 weeks,
she'll tell us exactly what she thinks of us.
Ooohh honesty in a class full of "Praise and encouragement
and make your partner look good no matter what".

Looking forward to that day.

Post today was quite full,
hopefully the Collection Card will be for my glasses,
but could also be for my bike gloves...
Surprise!

I was also given a couple of roses by A,
from his garden,
he likes to bring in roses to put on peoples desk.

I had to do a quick tidy-up before I took this photo.
Got new glasses.
Now I must work.

Date night.

He does want another date with me!
Amazing!

Kent

Good mail day?
I'd forgotten I'd put my name down
for correspondence on the Good Mail Day
blog.  I received a lovely note from a lady
from the UK who's 63.

You know what?
She lives in Kent.

And I love anything with that name.
So I shall reply.
Scully work me up with her snoring
Around 1am!
And now I can't get back to sleep,
I have this urge to throw things away
Again because I feel the less I have
The freer I am.

And the only thing flooding my mind
Is the boy I met and whether he
Actually wants to see me
Again.

So I think I'm interpreting that by
Wanting to throw things away so that
I can be free.
Am so not used to this feeling mainly of
Dread that ot was perhaps nothing more
Than a night of drunken flirtiness.

With M in his room sleeping, I can hardly turn on
The lights downstairs and go through
My boxes.
This move was temporary,
And so I think I should leave.

Rats and Possums making nests out of things.

Mail day?  I've miscounted.

Catalogues... for overpriced books.

I've been a gym member for 3 months so I get free chocolate?!
The post has been rather disappointing of late.
Yep you've gotta send a letter to receive a letter...
Unfortunately, sending birthday cards doesn't count
until your birthday comes around.

Date night went rather well,
I think.
I hope.
We'll see.

Only problem was
when I went to buy more beer,
I picked up some seahorse drink stirrers on the counter.
The bartender told me off and I said I was just looking
and that I'd happily buy one if I could?
He tipped the jug of beer I ordered down the sink,
and said "You've contaminated the seahorses!".
I was gobsmacked?!
I'm not a grubby drunk.
Just a touchy feely one.

We left rather quickly after that,
half way through dinner too.
Shall never return to the Napier,
however much
I want a drink
with a
fucking
seahorse
in
it!
:(
I hate being told off.

Hot and Hot.

It is February
in Australia,
It's 29 degrees
with between 68 -86 % humidity.

And
WE HAVE THE RADIATORS ON AT WORK!!!

There's only so many clothes I can take off!

Hula Hula Hula

So last night,
I counted how many revolutions of
hula hooping I could do,
before I dropped it.

Attempt #1
At 550 M came outside and despite my hand going up
to warn him not to come close,
he walked into me.
Bastard.

Attempt #2
1246 revolutions.

Sadly I'm well and truely off
the 72 hour mark.

Theatre sports and empty thoughts.

Reduced limit, am now just over $11,000 in debt.  (And final gas bill for old gaff).
Went to my first theatre sports class
last night, was quite fun, trying to remember
everyone's name, giving imaginary presents
and pulling groups of things out of boxes..
eg: "Stationary"
Pen
Pencil
Sharpener
Ruler

Only problem is, we HAVE to be positive.
We have to encourage our partner...

Which means that I don't know if they really
think I'm doing well or whether they're forced to say
"Awesome", "Well Done", "Great".

It's at the old convent theatre room,
it's quite a big place,
and in one of the buildings
there's a dummy
with a straw head
wearing a nuns outfit.
IT IS FUCKING SCARY.
Especially leaving at 9.15pm,
when it's darker
and there's a nun.
Watching
you
from
the
window
Jebus!

Trying to downsize my life
and not buy anything new
whilst I'm at M's,
I'm supposed to be using up
what I've got.

I bought 2 pairs of tights last night,
and I felt guilty,
even though I'm wearing a pair today,
and they're useful...
But, forgetting in my guilt
that I ordered a hard-rubbish collection,
and got rid of my greenhouse,
my bookshelf
and other bits of junk
from the yard.

So 2 little pairs of tights,
against a square metre of hard-rubbish...
Is not a bad thing.

His little heart it beat so fast.

Today is a Kate Bush-a-thon.

Overdue!  Over it!
